Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 May 2026
These terms govern your use of the LifeSkills website and related services. By using the site you accept the following in full.
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using LifeSkills ("the Service") you accept these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Continued use after any published changes equals acceptance of the new versions.
2. Description of the service
LifeSkills provides informational guides on moving abroad (countries and US states), interactive tools (calculators, visa trackers, converters) and an optional account area. The Service is offered "as is", on a voluntary basis, by a student team without commercial purpose at the time of publishing these terms.
3. User account
Registration requires a valid email and a password meeting the minimum criteria shown in the signup form. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity carried out through your account.
You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
Account usage rules
- You must be at least 16 years old to register, or the minimum age required in your country.
- You may not create multiple accounts with fake identities or impersonate other people.
- You may not try to bypass security measures, rate limiting, authentication or authorization.
- You may not upload illegal, offensive, infringing content or malware (e.g. non-compliant avatars).
- You may not use the Service for mass scraping, API abuse, spam, or unauthorized automation.
4. Nature of the content
Guides and tools are published for informational purposes only. They do NOT constitute legal, tax, health, financial or immigration advice, they do not replace official sources (authorities, embassies, qualified professionals) and we do not warrant completeness, accuracy or fitness for a specific purpose. It remains your responsibility to verify any information with competent sources before making decisions.
5. Intellectual property
LifeSkills text, graphics, layout, branding and code are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Unless otherwise stated, you may not copy, redistribute, modify or commercially exploit substantial portions of the Service without our permission, except for short quotation permitted by law.
6. User-uploaded content
By uploading an avatar or other content you represent that you have the necessary rights and grant LifeSkills a limited, royalty-free, non-exclusive, revocable licence to host and display it inside your account. You remain solely responsible for the content uploaded. We may remove content that breaches these terms or the law.
7. Third-party services and links
The Service integrates external providers (e.g. Vercel, Neon, Gmail, Upstash, CookieYes, Google Analytics) and contains links to third-party sites. We do not control the content, policies or availability of third-party sites and are not responsible for them. Relationships with third-party processors are governed by their respective DPAs.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we provide no warranty, express or implied, of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, continuity or absence of errors.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LifeSkills is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages (e.g. lost profits, data or opportunities) arising from use of or inability to use the Service. Liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence and mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
10. Suspension and changes to the service
We may suspend, modify or discontinue parts of the Service at any time, even without notice, for technical, security or project sustainability reasons, while trying to minimize disruption to users.
11. Account termination
You can delete your account at any time from the account area or by emailing us. We may suspend or delete accounts that breach these terms, with audit logging and, where possible, user notification.
12. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by Italian law. For consumer disputes, the consumer venue provided by law applies. For business-to-business disputes, the venue is the controller’s, unless a different mandatory rule applies.
13. Changes to the Terms
We may update the Terms at any time; the version in force is always the one published on this page with the last-updated date. For material changes we will email registered users.
14. Contact
For any question about these Terms, you can write to the controller’s email address:
