the Langstrasse (Kreis 4) late at night, more lively, around the HB station and Zürich-West on weekend nights, opportunistic thefts in vehicles and crowded tourist places

  • Zurich is one of the safest cities in the world: violent crime is very rare and the most common risk is opportunistic petty crime (pickpocketing) in the crowded areas and nightlife of Langstrasse.
  • The rules of coexistence are taken seriously: attention to noise (evening and Sunday silence in the buildings), separate waste collection and very strict condominium regulations.
  • At night the city remains quiet and well lit; Langstrasse is lively but guarded. Night transport (Nachtnetz) is safe and reliable.
