Amounts are an indicative monthly consumption basket, calibrated on Italy and scaled using Eurostat price level indices (actual individual consumption, EU27_2020=100, 2024, PRC_PPP_IND dataset). Values are then converted into the currency of your home country using approximate mid-market rates.
We use each country’s national Eurostat level: cities in the same country share the same values (this is not an estimate of city gaps such as Milan vs Naples).
China is not in the same Eurostat table for this indicator; we use an indicative PPP-based estimate vs the EU—use only as a rough relative order of magnitude.
