Areas to be careful with

- Tokyo is one of the safest large cities in the world: violent crime is very rare and you can move around safely even at night. The greatest risk is concentrated in the nightlife districts (Kabukicho, Roppongi), where scam clubs and solicitors exist: avoid anyone who stops you on the street to take you to a bar.
- Courtesy and unwritten rules count for a lot: silence on trains, order in queues, rigorous separate waste collection and respect for condominium rules.
